Using blogs, wikis, VoiceThread and other applications for class projects provides a real world audience without ever leaving the classroom . Have you ever read comments on blogs and other websites? All you have to do is spend 10 minutes to see the pressing need to teach students how to comment effectively and politely to alternative opinions.
WIKIS |
Wikis are applications that allow a group of people to create a website together. The site can include information, pictures, files, videos, and discussions. They are a great way for kids to build knowledge collaboratively. Instead of projects/research papers that only the teacher sees - now students can post their research for everyone. The best known example of course is Wikipedia.
